Service Description

ADHD Screening Sessions provide a structured, evidence-based, and clinically guided process designed to explore attention, concentration, impulsivity, executive functioning, and related cognitive-behavioural patterns. The screening aims to identify whether an individual presents indicators consistent with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder traits and whether further comprehensive diagnostic assessment is recommended. The process is collaborative, developmentally informed, and tailored to the client’s age, history, and presenting concerns. What the Sessions Include -During the screening process, the clinician conducts a focused clinical evaluation which may include: - Exploration of current attention, organisation, and focus-related concerns - Review of developmental, educational, occupational, and psychosocial history - Structured clinical interview targeting ADHD-related symptoms - Standardised screening questionnaires and validated rating scales - Assessment of functional impact across daily life domains - Identification of patterns related to executive functioning, motivation, and regulation - Screening for co-occurring psychological or emotional factors - Collateral information review (when appropriate and consented) Where clinically indicated, clients may be provided with structured observation tasks or brief cognitive screening activities to support clinical formulation. Clinical Purpose ADHD Screening is not a full diagnostic assessment. Its purpose is to clarify whether presenting difficulties are consistent with ADHD-related traits and to guide next clinical steps. Following the screening, the clinician provides professional feedback, recommendations, and, if appropriate, referral pathways for comprehensive diagnostic evaluation or targeted therapeutic support. The goal is to ensure that care is accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with the individual’s needs.
