Follow-up appointments focus on reviewing progress, monitoring symptoms, and adjusting treatment where necessary. What the Session May Include Depending on clinical circumstances, the psychiatrist may: - Review current symptoms and functional changes - Monitor response to medication (if prescribed) - Assess side effects and tolerability - Adjust dosage or treatment plan where clinically indicated - Review risk and safety factors - Provide psychoeducation regarding diagnosis and management - Coordinate care with other treating professionals where appropriate Clinical Principles Psychiatric follow-ups are conducted in line with medical best practice, prescribing guidelines, and professional ethical standards.
